Medical Marijuana

Mr. Duree has been involved in medical marijuana litigation since the voters of California enacted Proposition 215 (The Compassionate Use Act) in 1996. He has been a longtime member of the NORML legal committee. He has successfully defended dozens of medical marijuana cases, representing patients, sellers and growers.

Medical marijuana is still a developing area of the law. There are many unanswered questions regarding cultivation for distribution and distribution networks. While the uncertainty is not good for the community of patients and providers, it leaves open the possibility of creative and successful defense work in court.
